A COMPANY In the heart of the Butera countryside

Being winemakers is a family tradition, a knowledge preserved and shared among the different hands that have worked this land.

In the heart of the Butera countryside, in southern Sicily, lies a timeless corner of tranquillity where the earth breathes slowly and boundaries are not lines but stories: the Quattro Finaite, where the feuds of “Turchio”, “Gurgazzi”, “Suor Marchesa” and “Ficuzza” alternate between sun-drenched plains and rolling hills, caressed by the wind blowing in from the sea.

It is here, between Contrada Ficuzza and the micro-area once called Ballerina, that an agricultural and wine-growing project is taking shape, based on care, balance and a deep respect for nature.

In the 1960s, the Fiore family planted the first Nero d’Avola and Inzolia vines, guided by a simple but essential intuition: to listen to the land.

VINCENZO AND MANILA ARE THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE COMPANY.

We believe in the value of biodiversity: on our estate, vines coexist with other crops and creatures.

The wines we produce are the result of a continuous dialogue with the land and with time. Each bottle is a fragment of the landscape, reflecting the intense light, the wind that caresses the hills of Nissene and the hands that have accompanied them from the vineyard to the cellar.

Our vineyards extend across what was once known as Contrada Ballerina, a place where silence follows the rhythm of the seasons and where vines find ideal conditions to express themselves fully.

The calcareous-clay soils, the hilly altitude and the favourable location guarantee a good temperature range between day and night, which is essential for the quality of the grapes. Added to this is the essential role played by sea winds, which contribute to a unique, dry and breezy microclimate, perfect for healthy viticulture.
